Our friends at Hori have some great news for Sony fans. This coming may, they’ll be dropping the new Real Arcade Pro.V4 Hayabusa that’s compatibile with both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

This new HRAP.V4 Hayabusa will be the first true PlayStation 4 compatible arcade stick in the market. In the meantime, the fact that it is also compatible with the PlayStation 3 means that folks who have the older console and are planning to upgrade to the new one later down the line can buy this without fear that it’ll become obsolete in a few months.

In addition to this, the HRAP.V4 Hayabusa will be equipped with Hori’s Hayabusa lever and Kuro buttons. These were previously only available to home consumers on their Fighting Edge line of arcade sticks. These parts, which are also now being used on Taito’s Vewlix arcade cabinet starting this year, are designed to be more durable and be quieter than the comparable parts from Sanwa or Seimitsu.

The HRAP.V4 Hayabusa will be available in Japan and Asia via select retailers starting in May. Prices have not yet been confirmed though reports from Play-Asia and AmiAmi peg it to be around the $120 to $180 price range. As for an international release, Hori has yet to make any statement on this.
